SAFETY MANAGEMENT POLICY

To be recognized and maintain a position as a leading ship management company in the world.

Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Protecting the Environment are integrated parts of our business philosophy.

We have implemented a harmonised Health, Safety, Security, Environmental & Quality Management System (SMS) ashore and onboard which meet the requirements of SOLAS Ch IX, ISPS Code; OHSAS 18001; the ISO 9001 & 14001 standards; ILO MLC 2006; Green Award and we strive to meet the TMSA requirements to the highest possible level and, at the same time, meet and exceed our customers and stakeholders highest expectations.

We are committed to business continuity and we will ensure that adequate financial and human resources are made available in all our business operations including the support required to maintain our documented SMS ashore and onboard.

We are committed to staff development onboard and ashore by building long term “Team Strategies” ensuring effortless attraction of qualified staff. We believe that teamwork is a valuable asset by recognizing the strengths, competence and limitations of the people within a team and organizing the teams to take the best advantage of the attributes of each team member.

We are committed to operate our ships with senior officers who have appropriate experience and training on the particular type and size of ship.

The SMS will be used as an integrated management tool to identify, control and minimize business risks to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable.

Our values are simply stated:
  • Zero incidents.
  • Zero harm to people.
  • Zero non-compliance to relevant industry legislations.
  • Zero spills to the sea and consistent reduction of the group’s environmental impact.
  • Zero off hire.
  • Zero negative feedback from customers.
  • Zero budget deviations.
  • Zero damage to equipment.
  • Zero tolerance to bureaucracy.
  • We will conduct our operations in a fast and simple manner and we will value each other’s time.
  • We will always look for ways to make it easier to do business with us.
  • We will openly report our performance good or bad.
  • We will achieve our goals by recognizing those who contribute to improve our HSSE Performance, and, through continual improvement using the requirements of the above standards, our SMS, TMSA and other relevant management tools.

Environmental Protection Policy

Zero spills to the sea and consistent reduction of the group’s environmental impact.

The overall responsibility to implement this and other policies lies with the highest management in the company. However, responsibility for ensuring its procedures, objectives and targets are met lies with all personnel employed directly or indirectly by the Company, either in its offices or on its ships.

We will commit resources to act on our Environmental Protection Policy through an effective harmonized SMS which shall be audited on a regular basis. Any deficiencies found will be acted upon through a planned remedial action programme.

Objectives will be set and reviewed on a regular basis. The agreed objectives will be monitored and progress reports made through an Environmental Impact Analysis.

We will seek to conserve scarce and non-renewable resources, such as energy, in all operations. Opportunities for recycling will be investigated and utilized.

The requirements of international and local regulations will be complied with or exceeded at all times. We will also act on impeding or new regulations prior to implementation.

Procedures are put in place to control operations that could have potential impact on the environment. The purpose is to maintain the highest degree of control on emissions to the atmosphere, discharges into the sea, and disposals on land that could be harmful to the environment.

We will seek to ensure that contractors and suppliers do not operate to an environmental standard that is in conflict with this policy.
