FLEET STRUCTURE
By 30 June 2009 the fleet operated by Novoship Group consisted of 52 vessels with the total dwt of 4119 thousand tons (at the beginning of the accounting period - 52 vessels with the total dwt of 3 990 thousand tons) and the average age of 6.7 years (at the beginning of the accounting period – 7.2 years). Tankers with the average age of 6.6 years comprised 99.4 % of the fleet tonnage. The only Novoship’s bulker with the age of 24 years represents the rest of the percentage.

The company management goes on with the Fleet Renewal Programme. By the end of the 1st half of the current year 2 vessels over 20 years old each had been sold. In the same period the new Aframax tankers – NS Arctic and NS Antarctic – joined the Company fleet. On 21 July 2009 NS Asia, the third tanker of the line, was delivered. The fourth and the last vessel of the line – NS Africa - is scheduled for delivery by the end of the year.
