JSC Novoship Fleet Structure
By 31 December 2010, the fleet operated by Novoship Group consisted of 50 vessels with the total dwt of 4 542 thousand tons (at the beginning of the year - 55 vessels with the total dwt of 4 499 thousand tons) and the average age of 6.31 years (at the beginning of the year – 7.18 years). At the end of 2010, double-hulled tankers comprised 100% of Novoship’s fleet tonnage.
The company management goes on with the Fleet Renewal Programme. In 2010, seven vessels were sold including one bulker with the age of 25 years and six aging product carriers. In the same period two new Suezmax tankers – NS Bora è NS Bravo were delivered to the ship-owner. The first vessel of this line, NS Burgas, joined the Company’s fleet in 2009 and the last vessel of the series, Leonid Loza, was delivered on 4 January 2011.
In July 2010, Novoship ordered a line of four bulk carriers of 74,000 dwt each from the Korean Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. The vessels will be of 1B ice class and will be delivered within the next three years.
